Welcome to North York Power & Sail Squadron
The North York Power and Sail Squadron was established in 1960.
The Squadron pennant shown here was designed by a past commander of our squadron (1972 – 1973), artist James Lumbers. Mr. Lumbers is well known for his art series Moments in Time which depict scenes of realism combined with ghostly images. The pennant illustrates the bow of a boat cutting through the water forming a ‘Y’. The maple leaf, a symbol of Canada sits on top with the top of the leaf symbolically pointing north, hence NY (North York).
