The online course registration service (the "Service") provided by Canadian Power and Sail Squadrons (CPS) accepts these forms of payment: Visa and Master Card credit cards issued by Canadian banks. When making purchases, your credit card is charged immediately. Your total price displayed in the check out screen will include the price of the product plus any applicable sales tax; such sales tax is based on the charitable status of CPS, as defined by the Canada Corporation Act, the bill-to address and the sales tax rate in effect at the time you register to the course or purchase material.
You agree that you will pay for all product purchases through the Service, and that Canadian Power and Sail Squadrons will receive payment form the credit card company for the products or services you purchased.
If a product becomes unavailable following a transaction, prior to delivery and within 2 weeks of the transaction, your sole remedy is a refund.
If technical problems prevent or unreasonably delay delivery of your product or access to a course, and if our Technical Support desk has not responded to the delivery delay within 2 business days, your exclusive and sole remedy is either replacement or refund of the price paid.
If you have completed the online course offered by CPS and technical problems prevent the writing of the exam on the Transport Canada PCOC Testing Platform, CPS will not provide a refund. However, CPS will endeavour to resolve the technical issue within 2 business days to provide you with access to the PCOC Testing Platform. If access is not provided within 2 business days, CPS will provide you with other options including the possibility to write a paper exam in a location nearest you. In that specific case, an additional exam fee may be applicable to cover exam proctoring and exam room.
If you are not completely satisfied with the provided online course, CPS will provide you with a 100% refund on your credit card under the following two conditions:
Prior to the commencement of the second module or chapter
and within a thirty day time limit from the commencement of the course
