Courses

Maritime Radio Self Study is on 24/7 on the Moodle interactive learning platform. Register at any time to access the course for 60 days to obtain your Restricted Operators Certificate (Maritime). In Rideau District, the course is offered by Ottawa or Brockville squadrons.  Visit www.cpsboat.ca CanBoat website and select VHF/ROC(M) to register. Part 1 of the exam is done on line and Part 2 is arranged by contacting the instructor for a video meeting.

Basic Navigation and Boat Handling On Line  is available 24/7 via the Moodle interactive learning platform. Squadron instructors arrange to meet students weekly on line.  Prerequisite is the Pleasure Craft Operator Card available on line at www.cps-ecp.ca CanBoat website.  Formerly called Boating 2 and Boating 3, for Basic Navigation and Boat Handling is offered at other squadrons www.cpsboat.ca  CanBoat website.
