Combined Boating #2 & Boating #3


We as a Squadron have decided to combine the Boating 2 & 3 into one course with the exams at the end.

With doing it this way we do not have to give up any of our value added portions of the course that we offer.
With combing the course we will be able to offer:

The Student Cruise which is a day of training on the water.
Tour of the Canadian Hydrographic facilities
Fire Extinguisher demonstration and practice
Plus all the material from both the
Boating #2 Beyond the PCOC
Boating #3 Introduction to Navigation


With a combined price of $290.00

Boating #2 Beyond the PCOC
It is recommended that students have obtained their Pleasure Craft Operator Card (PCOC), but it is not mandatory.
The PCOC makes sure you have immediate navigation and safety skills but it’s just the beginning of what you should know when you get on a boat.  In the second of the CPS-ECP Boating Series, you are introduced to the art of navigation, anchoring, ropes, lines and knots.
Course content: Global positioning and charts, the Magnetic Compass, Navigation, Conning, Electronic Navigation, Handling a boat under power, Ropes, lines and Knots, Anchors and Anchoring, Weather, Tides and Currents, and Collision Regulations/Rules of the Road

Boating 3: Introduction to Navigation
The third course in our series explores navigation further as you learn how to:
Plot and label on paper charts.
As well as what the skipper should be doing before setting out.
What the skipper should be doing when under way.
Handling a boat under sail.
Environmental responsibilities. 
Electrical hazards,.
