Enjoyment and safety on the water require knowledge.
Beyond the PCOC will take you to the next level in your boating education.
Of the topics covered in this course you will come away with an understanding of weather, handling a boat under power, ropes/lines, knots and anchoring.
As technology has changed the way we navigate, your effective use of GPS/chart-plotter will be greater with an understanding of paper charts, the magnetic compass, and line of site navigation along with a night on electronic navigation.
This 6 evening course, led by experienced instructors, will increase your boating knowledge and make your adventures on the water safer and enjoyable.
The course also has a number of optional topics that will be taught depending on the needs of the students; these include tides and currents, canals and locks, towing, collision regulations and a check list for layup and launch.
Suggested Prerequisite: Pleasure Craft Operator Card (PCOC)
