There are 2 levels of membership: Regular and Associate.
Regular Members
Graduates of The Boating Course become Regular Members. Regular Members can fly the CPS flag. They also have better Boat Insurance rebates with the CPS Boat Insurance program.
Associate Members
Graduates of Boating Basics or the Pleasure Craft Operator Card test become Associate Members.
We also recognize certain course equivalences from the Canadian Yachting Association, Association Maritime du Québec, the United States Power Squadrons, Transport Canada Certified Professional Mariners, Navigators, etc. You must present copies of your course completion certificates to be considered for membership at CPS. CPS does admit holders of PCOCs from other organizations.
