Thirteen week course covers Aids to Navigation, Magnetic Compass,
Characteristics of Boats, Skipper's Responsibilities, Charting and
Plotting, Navigation, Mandatory and Optional Equipment, Weather, Tides
and Currents, Collision Regulations, Emergencies, Handling a Boat Under
Power and Under Sail, Ropes, Lines and Knots, Anchors and Anchoring.
There are 13 evening classes, every Tuesday ending November 30th (exam
night)
75% required to pass and receive CPSS Boating Certificate.

This registration site is for registering the second person of a
couple. The site titled "Boating, Power & Sail for
one person" is the primary registration site. Register the second person
here to identify their enrollment in the course. The cost for the second
person is $175.

Boat Pro - Sept 18 Where and Where: January 16th, February 27th, May 15th, June 5th, July 10th, August 24th and September 18th at BCIT, Willingdon Campus. February 6th and May 15th at New West Secondary School.
Courses start at 0800 hrs and finish at 1600 hrs
Cost: Single adult $85. Cost for additional family members is $75 each (manuals provided on loan basis) Cost for Burnaby students is $65. Additional discounts may be available on a case-by-case basis. Prices subject to change.

Note: The PCOC card is good for life, valid in the USA, and now includes a one year associate membership in CPS.
VHF Marine Radio This course earns a Radiotelephone Operator's Restricted Certificate (ROC) required to use a VHF Marine radio. It is illegal to operate a Marine VHF radio without this licence. Cost is $75 for CPSS members and $85 for non-members.
