"The next presentation I have the privilege of doing is for the Officer of the Year Award.
This Award is given to the person who best exemplifies excellence in promoting and administrating his/her duties respectively in respect of the Squadron, District or National that he/she served.
The Officer should represent the true spirit of a CPS-ECP volunteer and have worked to advance the Mission of CPS-ECP.
This person has achieved all of the above, but also created a power point presentation for the Western Ontario District to explain the new Strategic Plan. It was so well received it literally went viral and was translated and distributed across the country through the District Commanders.
I would like the Officer of the Year to come and receive this well-earned Award. Please show your appreciation to the well deserving KAREN CONNOR." D/C Mavis

Volunteers Teaching Boating Safety for almost 80 Years!
Western Ontario District includes the oldest squadrons in the Canadian Power and Sail Squadrons. Over 78 years ago, persons who became the charter members of the first Canadian Squadron crossed over to the American side of the border and took Power Squadron courses in Detroit. They brought back not only the knowledge needed to boat safely, but also the willingness to impart that knowledge to others, to benefit all.
Western Ontario District is composed of 7 Squadrons each providing training in their area.
